The National Institute of Geological Sciences (NIGS) received a donation of 25 computer tables for its Computer Laboratory during a turnover ceremony held on 21 March 2025 at the NIGS 1st Floor Lobby.

The donation was made by the Kappa Epsilon Fraternity–UP System, Diliman Chapter, in partnership with the UP Geology Alumni Association (UPGAA), which facilitated the coordination and delivery. The initiative reflects the organizations’ shared commitment to public service and support for higher education.

Present during the ceremony were Director Dr. Noelynna T. Ramos, System Administrator Dr. John Dale B. Dianala, UPGAA President David R. Baladad, and Kappa Epsilon Diliman Chapter President Joel Salceda. The newly donated furniture is expected to enhance the laboratory’s functionality and provide students with a more conducive learning environment.

In recognition of their generous support, certificates of appreciation were awarded to the UP Geology Alumni Association and the Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. The turnover marks another milestone in the ongoing collaboration between NIGS and its alumni network in strengthening academic facilities and student welfare.
