UP CWM ZENA'NA
UP Cwm Zena’na is an academic, professional, and non-partisan organization, dedicated to the upliftment of the status and protection of the rights of female geology majors and professionals, to the promotion of solidarity and sisterhood among its members, and to the enhancement of a harmonious relationship among geology students and professionals. The diagenesis of UP Cwm Zena’na (UPCZ) began on January 17, 1980 of the Holocene Epoch, Quaternary Period by 17 female organisms interested and entrapped in Geology. UPCZ established its linkage to the industry with the birth of the UP CWM ZENA’NA Alumni Council (UPCZAC) in 1981.

UP Geology Majors' Society (UP GEMS)
UP Geology Majors’ Society (UP GeMS) is a duly-recognized academic and environmental organization in the University of the Philippines Diliman that advocates for academic excellence in the field of Geology, and aims to inspire students to promote the protection of the environment. Founded on February 19, 1975 at the Parks and Wildlife, it actively participates in college and NIGS activities and continues to execute and achieve its objectives as a college based organization. UP GeMS’ goals are to promote appreciation and advance the knowledge of the society of the earth sciences and to foster a new generation of environmental leaders.

Iuvenis Orbis Geological Fraternity
The Iuvenis Orbis Geological Fraternity (IOGF) is a professional and the only duly-recognized fraternity in the College of Science. It was organized in 1972 by a group of idealistic geology students in the campus and was officially recognized in 1975. The group chose the name “Iuvenis Orbis” (‘Young Earth’ in Latin) to signify their dedication to the science of Geology, and their youthful optimism towards playing a positive role in the geoscience profession.

UP Rockhounds
The University of the Philippines Rockhounds is an all-male organization duly recognized by the College of Science. It is mainly composed of geology majors who promote geologic awareness and appreciation. Founded in 1992 by Dr. Alfredo Mahar Lagmay, the organization still continues to maintain its strong presence in both the National Institute of Geological Sciences and The College of Science.
