QUEZON CITY, PHILIPPINES - It was equal parts homecoming and opportunity to inspire the next generation of Filipino geologists and geochemists for Dr. Ruth Esther Delina-Agillon as she presented her talk on “From rocks to wastes: Tracing the fate of chromium in mining-impacted lateritic environments” last 15 May 2025 at the National Institute of Geological Sciences.

The NIGS alumna, now an incoming Experimental Geochemist at the British Geological Survey, highlighted the behavior of chromium and its life cycle throughout her talk which was held at the NIGS Seminar Room.
