Dr. Chelo Pascua is recognized for his important contributions in the field of carbon dioxide capture and storage (CCS) in the Philippines. His research interests include: Synthetic Clays as Nanomaterials (current), Environmental Mineralogy and Geochemistry, Hydrogeology, RS/GIS, transition metal smectites and LDHs, phyllomanganates, layered titanates, soft chemistry, hydrothermal synthesis, precipitation/nucleation in dilute aqueous systems.
