This proposed research will involve the application of edge detection techniques to gravity and magnetic data from global or regional datasets. Edge detection filters will also be applied to remote-sensing data such as the Landsat 8 data. An integrated interpretation of the resulting enhanced gravity and magnetic anomaly maps and remote-sensing data will be carried out to determine how well these can image subsurface and surface faults and lineaments.
