Nannoworks members, finalists in the 43rd National Book Awards

The Nannoworks Laboratory proudly announces that its members have been recognized as finalists in the 43rd National Book Awards for their publication, Atlas of Coccolithophores in Philippine Marginal Seas, last February 13, 2026. The book has been nominated under the category Best Book in Science, a distinction that highlights its significant contribution to scientific community in the Philippines. The book Birds of Subic Bay clinched the first place in the category.

Organized by the National Book Development Board (NBDB), the National Book Awards recognize the most outstanding books written, designed, and published in the Philippines. As the country’s book authority, the NBDB is dedicated to fostering a vibrant, diverse, and equitable publishing ecosystem that promotes Filipino authors, scholars, and knowledge producers.

The National Book Awards is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious literary and scholarly recognitions in the country, honoring the most outstanding books written and published in the Philippines, celebrating excellence across various genres and disciplines. 

The awarding ceremony is set to take place on March 2026.
